Meursault Les Luchets 2022 - Roulot

This 2022 Meursault Les Luchets from Domaine Roulot is a great Burgundy white wine made from Chardonnay, from the Meursault appellation in the Côte de Beaune. Situated on a limestone terroir midway up the hillside, the Les Luchets vineyard produces wines that combine generous body with a lovely mineral freshness. Under the guidance of Jean-Marc Roulot, the estate prioritises meticulous viticulture and minimal intervention during winemaking, in order to preserve the unique character of each plot. The 2022 vintage reveals a complex nose with aromas of ripe pear, green apple, citrus and white flowers, accompanied by notes of bread dough and a slight smoky reduction. On the palate, this 2022 Meursault is full-bodied and textured, with a rich body balanced by lively acidity and a precise mineral backbone. The long, lingering finish carries through the notes of citrus and white-fleshed fruit. This Burgundy Chardonnay has excellent ageing potential and will benefit from a few years’ cellaring to develop its full complexity. It is the perfect accompaniment to pan-fried scallops, roast lobster, fish in sauce or poultry in a creamy sauce.
