Charmes Chambertin Grand Cru 2009 - Geantet-Pansiot

This 2009 Charmes-Chambertin Grand Cru from Domaine Geantet-Pansiot is a great Burgundy red wine made from Pinot Noir, from the Charmes-Chambertin Grand Cru appellation in Gevrey-Chambertin, in the heart of the Côte de Nuits. This terroir produces wines that are at once generous, structured and velvety, and the 2009 vintage, which was particularly ripe, lends this wine a rich and concentrated body. On the nose, this 2009 Charmes-Chambertin reveals intense aromas of ripe cherry and red and black fruits, accompanied by floral, spicy and slightly toasty notes.
