Saumur 2018 - Domaine Du Collier

This 2018 Saumur from Domaine du Collier is a great white wine from the Loire Valley, made from Chenin Blanc, the iconic grape variety of the Saumur appellation. Based in Saumoussay, Domaine du Collier cultivates its vines organically on the limestone terroirs of the Saumur region, paying particular attention to low yields and the ripeness of the grapes. The 2018 vintage, characterised by excellent ripeness, produces a full-bodied and expressive white Saumur, whilst retaining the freshness characteristic of the Brézé terroirs. On the nose, this 2018 Chenin Blanc reveals aromas of white flowers, ripe melon and white-fleshed fruits, accompanied by smoky, pastry-like and dried fruit notes.
