This Jeanne Côte de Val Vilaine V23 Champagne Roses is a Blanc de Noirs produced by Cédric Bouchard from Pinot Noir grapes grown in the Val Vilaine lieu-dit, a plot of around 1.5 hectares situated in Celles-sur-Ource, in the Côte des Bar. The vines, planted in the 1970s, are managed with a respect for the terroir, and each plot is vinified separately to preserve its identity. Cédric Bouchard’s Blanc de Noirs retains a clear and direct expression of the Val Vilaine terroir. Served at around 8 to 10 °C, it pairs perfectly with seafood, oysters, grilled fish, prawns or poultry, and will appeal to lovers of terroir-driven Champagnes, Champagne Pinot Noir and single-vineyard cuvées from Roses de Jeanne.
