Ladoix Le Cloud 2021 - Prieuré-Roch

This 2021 Ladoix Le Cloud is a Burgundy red wine produced by Domaine Prieuré-Roch from Pinot Noir grapes, grown on the Le Cloud vineyard in Ladoix, at the foot of the Corton hill. The plot lies on brown soils rich in flinty limestone debris and benefits from an east-facing aspect, which is conducive to good ripening of the grapes. On the nose, this Ladoix Le Cloud 2021 reveals aromas of raspberry, cherry and red berries, accompanied by floral and spicy notes. On the palate, the Ladoix Pinot Noir is rich, supple and full-bodied, with lovely freshness and velvety tannins that provide a balanced structure. Domaine Prieuré-Roch cultivates its vines according to organic principles, with low yields, whilst the winemaking process favours whole bunches and natural fermentation without the addition of sulphites. Aged in oak barrels for around 18 to 20 months, this 2021 Ladoix red wine can be enjoyed whilst young, whilst also offering ageing potential of a few years. It pairs perfectly with roast poultry, grilled red meat, game birds or mature cheeses, and will appeal to lovers of Burgundy Pinot Noir and Prieuré-Roch’s terroir-driven wines.
