Ladoix Le Cloud 2020 - Prieuré-Roch

This Ladoix Le Cloud 2020 is a Burgundy red wine produced by Domaine Prieuré-Roch from Pinot Noir grapes, grown on the Le Cloud vineyard, situated in Ladoix at the foot of the Corton hill, on the edge of the Côte de Nuits. This plot rests on brown soils rich in flinty limestone debris and benefits from an east-facing aspect that promotes good ripeness in the grapes. The Ladoix Le Cloud 2020 has an expressive nose characterised by raspberry, ripe cherry and floral and spicy notes, as well as hints of cocoa and coffee. On the palate, this Pinot Noir from Ladoix offers a supple, rounded texture, supported by velvety tannins and lovely fullness. Aged for around 18 to 20 months in oak barrels, it can be enjoyed now whilst offering good ageing potential. This Burgundy red wine pairs particularly well with roast poultry, grilled red meat, delicate game or mature cheeses, and will appeal to lovers of Pinot Noir from the Côte de Beaune and the terroir-driven wines from Prieuré-Roch.
