Morey-Saint-Denis 2021 - Dujac

This 2021 Morey-Saint-Denis is a Burgundy red wine produced by Domaine Dujac from Pinot Noir grapes grown on several plots situated around the village of Morey-Saint-Denis, in the Côte de Nuits. The vines are planted on clay-limestone soils and are cultivated using organic farming methods. In keeping with the estate’s philosophy, the winemaking process favours indigenous yeasts and a high proportion of whole-bunch fermentation to preserve the expression of the fruit and the terroir. The 2021 vintage reveals a delicately smoky and expressive nose, characterised by blackberry, raspberry, cherry and black berries, accompanied by notes of pepper, flowers and undergrowth. On the palate, this 2021 Morey-Saint-Denis offers a juicy and precise texture, supported by fine tannins, lovely freshness and a lingering finish. This Côte de Nuits Pinot Noir thus expresses the character of the Morey-Saint-Denis appellation whilst retaining the finesse and freshness sought after in the Domaine Dujac style. Served at around 15–16°C, it will pair perfectly with a rib of beef, game birds, roast poultry or mature cheeses.
