The Chambertin Clos de Bèze Grand Cru 2023 from Domaine Bruno Clair comes from one of Burgundy's most iconic terroirs, in the heart of the Côte de Nuits. This Grand Cru from Gevrey-Chambertin, made exclusively from Pinot Noir, benefits from a complex soil combining limestone, marl and clay, producing wines that are powerful, deep and remarkably elegant. The 2023 vintage is an expression of great purity, where the estate's expertise is fully revealed.
The nose opens with aromas of ripe black fruits (blackberry, cherry, blackcurrant), accompanied by delicate floral nuances, sweet spices, black tea and a finely smoky minerality. The palate is full-bodied, structured and vibrant, with chiselled tannins, dense texture and an energy that carries the wine into a long and deep finish, the signature of the great wines of Chambertin Clos de Bèze.
This Chambertin Clos de Bèze Grand Cru offers a rare balance between power and finesse, typical of Bruno Clair's style, where the precision of the vinification allows the terroir to express itself without artifice. Serve at around 16°C, preferably after aeration if opened young. It is the ideal accompaniment to roast veal chop, matured beef, hare stew or pigeon with cep mushrooms.
Its ageing potential is exceptional, capable of maturing for 20 years or more, developing notes of truffle, fine leather and undergrowth.
A wine of masterful depth, noble and timeless, among the finest expressions of Pinot Noir in Burgundy.
