The Spätburgunder Kalk 2022 from the Wasenhaus estate is a German red wine made from Pinot Noir grapes, produced in the Baden region. The Wasenhaus estate, founded by Alexander Götze and Christoph Wolber after extensive experience in Burgundy, is now renowned for its natural wines of great finesse, combining precision and aromatic purity.
The Kalk 2022 cuvée takes its name from the limestone soils on which the vines are planted, which give the Pinot Noir a characteristic mineral tension and racy elegance. The colour is light ruby. The nose reveals aromas of fresh cherry, wild strawberry and raspberry, as well as floral nuances and a chalky hint typical of limestone terroirs. On the palate, the Spätburgunder Kalk 2022 Wasenhaus stands out for its remarkable finesse, delicate texture, silky tannins and a long, mouth-watering finish marked by precise freshness.
Served at around 14-15°C, this Baden red wine is a wonderful accompaniment to roast poultry, tender veal, refined vegetarian dishes, or soft cheeses. It has an ageing potential of 5 to 8 years, with an evolution towards greater depth and aromatic complexity.
A luminous, pure, mineral and elegant German Pinot Noir; a superb expression of the Wasenhaus style, sought after by lovers of precise and vibrant wines.
