This Burgundy red wine, made from Pinot Noir grapes, comes from the Nuits-Saint-Georges Premier Cru appellation in the Côte de Nuits. The 2017 Les Murgers cuvée, created by talented winemaker Cécile Tremblay, perfectly embodies the intensity and depth of this renowned terroir.
The 2017 vintage, fresher and more balanced than its predecessor, reveals an elegant and distinguished wine. The nose expresses aromas of fresh red fruits (cherry, raspberry), complemented by floral notes and a delicate touch of minerality and spices. On the palate, the structure is precise: fine, silky tannins support a harmonious texture, carried by a beautiful liveliness that prolongs the finish.
Served between 15 and 16°C, this Nuits-Saint-Georges Premier Cru is the perfect accompaniment to roast duck breast, squab with mushrooms or mature cheeses. Ready to drink now after aeration, it also has an ageing potential of 10 to 12 years, during which time it will gain in complexity and depth.
